Which Groove Belt size should I order based on my pant size?
Order the Groove Belt size that matches your pant waist size. Sizes are designed to fit true to waist measurements.
Pant size 30–32 → Size S (Waist 28”–32”)
Pant size 33–34 → Size M (Waist 33”–36”)
Pant size 35–36 → Size M (Waist 33”–36”)
Pant size 37–38 → Size L (Waist 37”–40”)
Should I size up or down if I’m between belt sizes?
If you’re between sizes (for example, a 32 or 36), it’s best to size up for the most comfortable fit and adjust using the tail slack. You can cut off any extra webbing you think is too long. Check out this video on how.
Are Groove Belts true to size or do they have extra inches?
Groove Belts are true to size but include a few extra inches of slack to fine-tune your fit without feeling tight.
Is there a Groove Belt size for big and tall customers?
Yes, our OG Groove Belt is available up to XXL, which comfortably fits waist sizes from 50–60+ inches.
How much extra webbing is left after buckling?
Most users will have around 4–5 inches of extra webbing once the belt is buckled. You can trim and reseal if needed.

The buckle measures 1.7" × 2.6" (0.4" thick), while the webbing is 1.4" wide (2.4mm thick). Total belt weight is approximately 0.38 lbs.
Is the Groove Belt buckle nickel-free or hypoallergenic?
The buckle contains less than 0.5% nickel—well below most sensitivity thresholds. It’s safe for the vast majority of wearers.
What material is the Groove Belt webbing made from?
Our belts use high-strength nylon webbing blended with stretch tech polyester for long-lasting durability and comfort.
Is the Groove Belt stretchy or rigid?
It has just enough stretch to flex with your body—especially after a big meal—while remaining firm enough to carry gear. We call it “just right.”

The buckle is made from anodized aluminum with N42 neodymium magnets and stainless steel hardware for maximum strength and smooth operation.

Yes, the OG Groove Belt may trigger detectors due to its strong neodymium magnets, however check out the Ultra Belt which is made for travel and TSA friendly.
Do the buckle magnets affect credit cards or pacemakers?
Avoid wearing the Groove Belt if you have a pacemaker or implanted medical device, as the magnets are strong. It’s safe for everyday items like phones and cards.
Is the Groove Belt good for work-intensive jobs like construction or EMT work?
Absolutely. The Groove Belt is designed for all-day wear, from the job site to the mountains. It won’t slip, stretch, or lose shape.
Does the Groove Belt buckle scratch easily?

I've had this belt for nearly 4 years and wear it every day. It hasn't bent or rolled like most belts would. The buckle hasn’t scratched. Magnet closure is perfectly strong. It still looks brand new. Only reason I bought another belt is to have this belt in different colors.
