To All the Moms Who are Crushing It…
We want to tell you something.
We know times are crazy. The world seems unpredictable, leaving us in search of what or who is most steady, reliable, and supportive to lean on.
We’ve looked near and far, next to us and across the room, but we’ve failed to recognize the one who’s been there through it all.
How could we forget you, Mom?
You were our first adventure companion.
The one who strapped us to her back while she climbed that summit, paddled twice as hard so we could enjoy the ride, and managed to somehow tackle everything from the littlest scrape to the largest milestone.
We’ve always looked up to you, Mom.
We cheered you on from the sidelines as you finished your first marathon, watched as you perfect balanced work and family, and argued that you are, in fact, the greatest mom of all.
You’ve always been there for us, Mom.
From taking our first steps to cheering us on as we crossed the finish line. From teaching us to write our names to celebrating with us when we signed on our first house. From taking care of us when we were sick to now taking care of our babies.
So for all the times we took you for granted, the times you thought we didn’t notice, and the times we failed to tell you, we want you to know just how much you’re cherished.
Thank you for stoking adventure, curiosity, and wonder in us.
Thank you for having faith in us when we didn’t believe in ourselves.
Thank you for allowing us to fall so we could learn how to get back up.
And thank you for never giving up on us.
You’re crushing it, Mom.
Happy Mother’s Day.
